My Story

I am, first and foremost, a very proud father of two amazing young women. Along with their mother, they are the light of my life!

My story as a human centered designer began during my career in banking. During the 2000’s I worked as a Loan Officer where I was the coordinator of a team that consisted of myself, a Loan Processor, an Appraiser, Escrow Officer and several Realtors. During my tenure we put together several marketing campaigns many of which were extremely successful (some of which were not). I absolutely loved this part of my career and the more I got to do design work the more I loved designing.

Then the recession hit, I moved to Idaho to try a different market and to reconnect with my father. Due to a very cold market I turned to some odd jobs to make ends meet. Then, after doing a friendly favor I rediscovered my creative passion in design and decided to enroll at Great Basin College in Elko, NV.

in 2012 I got my Associates Degree in Computer Technologies with a Web Specialist Emphasis (I always love to say this.. :D) and decided to Freelance from that point. Since then I have worked with some really great companies, organizations and people. In 2015 I moved back to my beautiful home state of Washington. When the pandemic hit I was going doing an amazing boot-camp at SkillSpire in Bellevue, WA to expand my knowledge in Java and AWS. After experiencing the classroom again I decided to finish my degree at the University of Washington – Tacoma. I am pursuing my Bachelors in Communication (so that I can be an even more effective communicator and broaden my public speaking) and  a Minor in Innovation and Design (to add to my UX skill-set).

My (current) educational goals will be fulfilled with a Masters of Science in Human Centered Design and Engineering from the University of Washington.
